Screenings of this inspiring movie are
a great way to create community cohesion and action and can also raise
funds for community groups with an intention to make human occupation of
the planet more sustainable. The Food Forest is delighted to support such
events by granting screening licenses for events designed to raise funds
and along with the license will provide you with multiple DVD's to distribute
or sell. For events designed to attract up to 50 people we supply 3 DVDs,
ideas for screenings, promotional material (sent electronically)
and license the event for a total cost of $100. We are also happy to advertise
your screening on our website to help you with promotion. For larger screenings
we supply 7 DVDs and charge $200 for the package.
Fund-raising screenings to date have been held
in Australia and Estonia, mostly in cinemas, but they can take place anywhere
powerpoint projection plus a sound amplification system is available. You
can charge whatever your group feels is a reasonable price. In the Adelaide
cinema screenings we charged $20 per ticket, of which $10 was absorbed
in costs and $10 went to collaborating community organisations; screening
in a cheap venue and without catering can obviously bring costs down a
lot.
Screenings where no charge is made do not require
a license and we are happy to provide multiple
DVDs at reduced prices for you to sell to attendees.
